Christine Sheetz is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner with a private Feldenkrais Method® practice in her home. She has been a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner since 1997. Although she has been a physical therapist since 1977, she does not offer physical therapy in her private practice.
With expertise in neurological rehabilitation, Feldenkrais Method®, and application of neurological exercise to pain and orthopedic problems, Christine Sheetz also works in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers at a St. Paul, MN hospital.
After her first 15 years as a physical therapist, Christine Sheetz took a weekend seminar on the Feldenkrais Method® for therapists. She found that it changed the way she worked with patients and changed her perception of her own neurology. She was better able to offer an effective, yet pain-free and pleasant therapeutic approach to her patients. It also bridged the communication gap with her dementia patients as she could communicate directly with their nervous systems through touch. Her own migraine headaches dramatically decreased in frequency.
This experience led her to eventually take the full four-year Feldenkrais® training, where she experienced this method as a client would while learning how to be a practitioner of the method.
Since then, Christine Sheetz has helped people with loss of balance, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, foggy thinking after a fall or accident, Fibromyalgia, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s Disease (PD), Stroke (CVA), Brain injury (TBI), and movement challenges.
